Have you ever been in a situation where you have your eye makeup all done whether its a smokey eye or just a simple winged eyeliner and you  have no clue what to finish your look with a lipstick or a lip gloss? Yes!! I know how it feels, I've been there too..

Let me tell you love its all about preference!! If you are a fan of bold lipsticks or just a neutral tone lip gloss to complement your whole look, go for it!! However,here comes the ''BUT'' Lol.

There are things that a girl has to consider before putting that dark matte lipstick to finish your black smokey eyes and end up looking like The Devil from the other side.

• The Look.

There should be a balance between your eye makeup and lips. If you are going for your favorite smokey look, a nude lip gloss will complement you whole makeup way better than that dark bold lipstick which will make you end up with  a "LOOK AT ME" face screaming in front of the whole crowd. Heave eyes and dark lips not a good combination hahaha

• Longevity

How long you want your makeup to last also plays a great role. Lipsticks with a matte or satin finish are known for their ability to last a long time ( some matte lipsticks can last up o 8 hours). You can literally eat drink your night away and your lips will still look on point.

• Lips condition.

If you have dry lips like mine matte lipsticks are always a NO NO since they tend to settle in those fine lines of your lips making your lips looking so not healthy. Instead go for lip glosses or lipsticks with a crème sheen or amplified finish.
